DNS Server Updates

In an effort to improve performance and decrease downtime, the DNS servers have been updated. If you use the names ns1.parhosting.com and ns2.parhosting.com, or have your domain hosted through parhosting, you dont have to worry about these changes. All others, please update the IP settings for your nameservers as follows:

ns1.parhosting.com
205.134.247.191
ns2.parhosting.com
205.134.247.192

Server Update

Greetings,

We are very excited to inform all ParHosting clients that due to the recent issues with the mail, we have migrated over to a brand new load balanced cluster system. It is the only Load Balanced cPanel available in the industry. It involves multiple servers serving your website instead of a single server. This in turn provides you with high availability, and an unsurpassed uptime. We can remove servers from the cluster, and upgrade them without affecting any of your websites.

It is important to note a few new differences:

1) make sure any "localhost" connection scripts are changed to "mysql.cluster01.whmsecure.com"(DO NOT use localhost on future installations).
2) On some instances we find some customers have to re-add the users to the database. This can be done via the control panel. Simply login to cPanel, click on MySQL databases and remove the user from the DB, and re-add it. BE SURE to leave the database untouched (Do not delete the database!).

It is also important to note all cPanel and WHM transactions must be accessed via SSL. For example:
WHM: https://www.yourdomain.com:2087 NOT http://www.yourdomain.com/whm
cPanel: https://www.yourdomain.com:2083 NOT http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
webmail: https://www.yourdomain.com:2096 NOT http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail

It is very important that you also change any current php scripts that currently use localhost to connect to your database to mysql.cluster01.whmsecure.com (this includes scripts like phpbb, mambo, drupal, etc)

If you have any special scripts using absolute path such as /home/user/public_html/ or /home2/user/public_html be sure to change to /san/home/user/public_html accordingly.

We hope you enjoy the new clustered system. We are extremely sorry for the level of downtime the mail encountered, but hope you enjoy the new system.

Mail Issue

To everyone currently encountering mail issues, I can assure you that everyone at ParHosting is doing everything we can to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We would just like to let you know that we are aware of the issue, and are doing everything in our power to get it fixed as soon as possible.
